Graciela Ortiz, who fell 31 votes short of making the runoff in the LAUSD Board District 5 race, declined to request a recount and has conceded the second-place spot to Heather Repenning, who will face Jackie Goldberg on May 14. Ortiz issued the statement below and then endorsed Repenning a few days later and joined her at a rally in Huntington Park on March 31.
